Quality Assurance and Improvement System of the Faculty of Dental Medicine, University of Rijeka
The goal of the Quality Assurance and Improvement System of the Faculty of Dental Medicine is to build an institutional mechanism for systematic evaluation and coordination of initiatives and development programs with the permanent purpose of promoting high standards of professional and professional development of stakeholders in all areas of the Faculty’s activities.
The Quality Assurance System is based on the „Act on Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education“ and European guidelines and recommendations for Quality Assurance and other relevant regulations.
At the University of Rijeka, the Quality Assurance and Improvement System is defined by the “Ordinance on the Quality Assurance and Improvement System” and the University of Rijeka Study Quality Manual. In addition to these documents, the Faculty of Dental Medicine also uses the „Ordinance on the Quality Assurance and Improvement System of the Faculty of Dental Medicine, University of Rijeka“.
Quality Policy
The Faculty of Dental Medicine accepts the Quality Policy of the University of Rijeka and, in accordance with its mission and vision, is committed to the development of a culture of quality, especially through:
- continuous development of the Quality System based on European, national and university standards
- ensuring quality and efficient education where students are at the center of the learning process and developing computer science study programs based on a competency-based approach and learning outcomes
- carrying out innovative scientific and development research in cooperation with researchers from Europe and with businessmen from the wider region
- taking care of the employability of students and the availability of education in Dental Medicine to all interested individuals through lifelong learning programs
- transfer of the latest IT technologies and knowledge to the economic sector and the local community in order to ensure the region’s transition to a knowledge-based society.

At the Faculty of Dental Medicine, Quality Assurance is handled by the Committee for Quality Assurance and Improvement.
